A new season starts 1 August 2009
Leighton Buzzard Art Society began life about 60 years ago as a 'Music & Arts Club'. As membership expanded, the various 'arts' split into separate societies and we became independent 30 years ago. LBAS is a thriving society with an annual membership of about 150.
Any person over the age of 16, interested in Art, whether a practicing artist or not, is eligible to become a member of Leighton Buzzard Art Society subject to payment of a modest annual subscription.
The benefits of membership include:
Free
attendance at Thursday Evening Meetings at which there is a painting
demonstration by a professional artist.
(Includes a sound system and a 'video to monitors' for better viewing.)
Hire of the Society's Art Books and Videos for £1.
Attendance at Painting Workshops on payment of the £15 to £20 fee.
Inclusion of a Member's Paintings or other Artworks in the Spring and Autumn Exhibitions and any other Exhibitions organized by LBAS, on payment of a £2 Hanging Fee (50p unframed) and subject to 20% Commission on all sold artworks.
Inclusion of Photographs of a Member's Paintings or other Artworks in the Members' Gallery of this Web Site on payment of a small fee.
Participation in any other activities organized by LBAS.
